Description
Alexia Russo and Caroline Fyot changed their careers, following their dreams of having their own wine estate. Settling in The Côte Chalonnaise and the Château de Garnerot, they created their first vintage in 2018.
They farm 6 hectares of land, and also have a small wine merchant activity (Chai Garnerot), which allows them to offer a wider range of wines. The vineyards in the estate are currently undergoing organic farming conversion planned for 2022. A necessary condition for working in accordance with their convictions but also for respecting the terroirs.
They choose to farm high potential vineyards: old rootstock selection, soil quality and plot orientation. The terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise and the Côte de Beaune offer a diversity that they want to show through their wines. Each plot produces a specific cuvée. From Aligoté to Premier Cru, they take the same care and the same attention to their vines and their wines. Respect for Nature, the Environment and People is the pillar of this Renaissance.
Alexia and Caroline seek to reveal the personality of each of their wines, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, so that an Aligoté as well as a Bourgogne or a Mercurey 1er Cru expresses all of its personality.
The notion of social responsibility is essential for them both and guides the way the estate is managed, both in the vineyards and in the choice of their service providers and suppliers.
They were therefore involved from the start in the organic approach, with a biodynamic approach on certain plots, in order to deeply reconnect the plants to their soils, the elements and to promote biodiversity.
