Description
The Finca Antigua vineyard is located at 900 metres above sea level, providing cool nights to temper the hot summer days. Soil is loamy, with a high limestone content giving extra definition to the wines. The vineyard is sub-divided into thirty plots, each planted to the most suitable variety. The Viura for this wine comes from a parcel called El Palomar, planted in 1990. The grapes were harvested in the third week of September.
Fermentation and maceration in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats lasted for twenty-three days. The wine was then aged for five months on the lees with weekly batonage.
