Description
Henri Emile purchased Château Guibeau in 1936. He married Yvette, the daughter of the adjoining Chateau and the 2 estates were merged, which today form a single estate with 45 hectares: 38 hectares in the Puisseguin Saint-Emilion appellation, and 7 hectares in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Henri Emile’s son, Henri, managed the vineyard and improved winemaking techniques until 2009, when he handed down the property to his daughter Brigitte and son-in-law Eric. This cuvee comes from 35yo vines planted to limestone-clay on stony subsoils.
